Today the Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of Christ the King. Thanks to COVID-19, there won’t be any huge liturgical processions around the cities or the churches. A somber feast.

What does it mean to celebrate the Feast at this period? After the lockdowns, there has been a conscious attempt to revive the domestic churches. Two interesting quotes say,

The closing of the public churches lead to the opening of domestic churches in the families

The closing of Public Churches led to the opening of the Word of God.

It is for each of us (as individuals, families, and communities) to decide what does it mean to have Jesus as the King? The gospels will be a great help in purifying our understanding of the kingship of Jesus.
